Twin Cities & Western conductor Dennis Jacques presented an Operation Lifesaver clinic at the 8th Hutchinson Model Railroad Show. The TC&W is headquartered in Glencoe. The clinic was aimed at children. About 30 people watched a video as part of the clinic.

Again this year, the popular vote model contest attracted a nice collection of entries. Working the contest registration table during the Hutchinson Model Railroad Show in October were Minnesota River Valley Division and Luce Line Railroad Club Inc. members Curt and Jean Radunz and LLRC member Paul Henke. Registering an entry is former MRVD Superintendent John Givan, right.

Luce Line Railroad Club Inc.'s large HO scale layout drew onlookers at the Hutchinson show with its Train Cam. Members have mounted miniature video cameras in some trains. The video appears on the small television mounted at the end of the layout. Guests can see themselves on television as the train makes its way around the layout, or they can tour the layout from the viewpoint of being right in the engineer's seat.
