First and third Saturday of every month, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Operating session
Every Tuesday evening, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. — Work session

Luce Line Railroad Club Inc.'s 3rd Spring Railfest, Hutchinson Mall. Operating model railroads and flea market, free admission! 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.



May 2006
Thousand Lakes Region convention in St. Paul at the Holiday Inn East off of I-94 near 3M. More information can be found on the TLR web site: The best part might be the Saturday morning clinics and the home layout tours Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. But the Friday reception at Minnesota Transportation Museum's Jackson Street roundhouse should be fun, too. It is all just $65 until April 1, and $80 after that. Rooms are $79 per night. NMRA membership required.
The CNWHS annual meet will be at the Hickory Grove Banquet Center, Rochelle Ill. Visit for more.

The Milwaukee Road Historical Association Annual Convention in Lewistown, MT. The convention headquarters is the Yogo Inn. You may now make seservations at the Yogo Inn (1-800-860-9646). Mention that you are with the MRHA to receive the convention rate of $59 per night single, and $69 per night double. All schedule events are tentative at this time.

Thursday, June 22: 12:00-9 p.m. Registration, 3-4 p.m. presentation, 7:30-9 p.m. presenters, 9 p.m. - open projectors.
Friday June 23: 7:30-8:30 a.m. breakfast, 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Charlie Chew Choo train trip to Denton, 3-4 p.m. business meeting-Vendors Open, 4-5:30 p.m. auction, 6:30-7:30 p.m. casual dinner, 7:30-9 p.m. presenters, 9 p.m. - open projectors.
Saturday June 24: 7:30-8:30 a.m. breakfast, 8:30 a.m.-3p.m. tour to Harlowton depot and roundhouse or women's tour of Harlowton sites, 4-5:30 p.m. rest and refresh-vendors open, 6:30-7:15 p.m. social hour, 7:15-8:15 p.m. banquet, 8-9:30 p.m. banquet program, 9:30 p.m. "caboose talk"

Lakes Area Model Railroad Association 3rd annual Kid Day Train Show at the Benson National Guard Armory is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 15. Admission is $2.50. Kids 9 and younger are free.

Lakes Area Model Railroad Association's 11th annual train show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Central Square Cultural Center, Glenwood, Minn., $2.50, 9 and younger free. LAMRA is a 100-percent NMRA club! (Note: This show was formerly in September and is being moved to coincide with Glenwood's summer festival.)

The Prairie Lakes Division/TLR/NMRA will celebrate its 20th anniversary with its fall meet, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Regional Wellness Center, Estherville, Iowa. The meet will include a popular vote model and photo contest, clinics, layouts, a flea market and business meeting. A special feature for the anniversary is an evening banquet featuring a multimedia presentation by noted railroad photographer and Trains magazine correspondent Steve Glischinski and photographer Chris Guss.
