Enjoy helping other members build and operate their Lionel, American Flyer, and "HO" layouts and spending hours working on Club DCC modular layout and taking it to train shows. A techie who enjoys new gizmos and ideas.

Home Layout
HO scale

Two levels
Single line mainline about 250 ft long
One main yard, 7 tracks (double ended)
Hidden yard, 4 tracks (double ended)
Container yard, 4 tracks (single ended)

Layout covers area of about 12x24 ft w/two b&w video cameras covering hidden areas of trackage. HO layout is controlled by Digitrax Empire Builder DCC. Additional DCC equipment includes Digitrax PM-4 current controllers, Digitrax BDL-16 Block detectors & the in future Digitrax transponding equipment. SoundTraxx decoders and PR-1 decoder programmer on 486 computer using Windows 3.1 are also in use. Ultimate Dream is to operate room lighting, layout buildings lighting, signals, animation & RR&CO computer software running on Pentium 100mhz Windows 95 Computer to control layout.

O scale:

Have small Lionel 3 rail layout.

In process of putting up an On30 layout to go around next to ceiling in 4 season porch. Have 3 GN Bachmann passenger cars, 2-6-0 locomotive, Christmas Trolley, and a Porter engine in On30.
